The textbook “Economics in 31 Hours” is the only economics textbook designed for 10th-grade students. It was recognized as the world’s best project by the Templeton Freedom Award and named the best learning resource at The London Book Fair awards. The eighth edition was released in 2024.

The textbook has been updated to align with the national curriculum and is available in all Lithuanian schools. Students in Lithuania, Ukraine, Slovakia, Uganda, Georgia, and Greece use “Economics in 31 Hours.”

Teaching economics in the 10th grade is compulsory. At this age, students are introduced to the basics of economics. Our goal is to raise the level of teaching and learning economics in Lithuanian schools by offering teachers and students the most engaging format and content.


Purpose of the textbook “Economics in 31 Hours”

  • To help students understand economics as an important and unavoidable part of their lives—not as a subject detached from reality.
  • Not only to consolidate knowledge of basic economics, but also to provide tools for independently and critically assessing social processes.
  • To help clearly grasp the causes and consequences of economic decisions.
