We created the calculator mokumokescius.lt to show people—simply and engagingly—how much and what kinds of taxes they pay, and to introduce them to how the state spends money.

This unique online calculator, running since 2014, lets every worker calculate how much tax they pay from their salary and how much they pay through consumption of ordinary, excise, or reduced-rate goods and services (e.g., medicines). After seeing the total taxes paid in a year, each person also receives a personal receipt showing how their taxes are used.
