Employment Flexibility Index
The Employment Flexibility Index is an annual ranking of labor-relations regulation across EU and OECD countries, prepared by the Lithuanian Free Market Institute together with partners from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland, and Slovakia. The index is built using the World Bank’s methodology and the annually published Doing Business data. It evaluates 30+ indicators of labor regulation, which are used to calculate each country’s scores in the areas of working time, hiring, and dismissal.
