LFMI invites students to participate in the writing contest Liberty Studies on the market and morality

LFMI invites all students to participate in an essay contest on Freedom Studies. LFMI has announced its contest and plans to publish a new book in the series “Readings in Economic Policy,” seeking to demonstrate how the market encourages moral and ethical behaviour and how desirable moral and ethical values may and are being fostered in economic relations.

The contest is designed for university students and self-studying people who are above 17 years of age and do not hold a PhD. The essays on the topic proposed by LFMI or an individually selected subtopic must be submitted until September 1, 2011. The works must not be longer than 10 pages. The winners will be awarded solid cash and other prizes in September to October of this year.

The proposed subtopics for essays are as follows:

“Capitalism and Ethics”

“Common Ground of Market Order and Christianity”

“Entrepreneur and Morality”
“Impact of Economic Systems on Values”
