LFMI observations regarding attempts to drop the state-owned stake in Lietuvos dujos AB from the privatisation list

The draft legal act seeks to alter the list of privatisation by dropping from it the state-owned stake in Lietuvos dujos AB, which would mean that the state has decided not to sell its stake in  Lietuvos dujos AB to any private owner. In the opinion of LFMI, this proposal is questionable and the arguments presented are not sufficient to prove a decision like that is necessary. The government should not retreat from its decision to privatise utilities operating in the energy sector.
