The Lithuanian Free Market Institute has examined the Draft Ministerial Order of the Ministry of Health on the Approval of Pharmaceutical Care Service Provision Procedures aimed at establishing the procedure for pharmaceutical care service provision and imposing certain requirements on pharmacists and pharmacies that provide the aforementioned services.
In LFMI’s view, the proposed regulation will pose a significant administrative burden on both pharmacies and pharmacists and may boost the expenditure of the former as the project does not clearly express the procedure and requirements for the obligatory training of pharmacists provided.
Given the aforementioned, LFMI calls for the assessment of Paragraphs 12.1, 25.1, 25.2, 25.3 and 26 before taking the project any further.
