The draft law proposes unifying the packaging of tobacco products sold in Lithuania by introducing the standard white packaging on which all the information except for information about the harmful effect of smoking should be presented in the standardized uniform font. The examination provides reasons why it would be advisable to refuse the proposed amendments of the draft law without introducing any limitations to the packaging as those amendments would limit the competition on the market, impede the business conditions and hinder the free and informative choice for consumers.
