The government of Lithuania has proposed a bill to postpone reform of the social security system until 2016. LFMI calls for immediate reform and warns that otherwise the social security system which is plagued with a 10-billion litas debt will be doomed for an ever growing financial burden. Back in 2010 LFMI submitted a conceptual framework for social security reform.
